Peer Mentoring for care experienced students, by care experienced students

Raising Expectations peer mentoring programs are free, delivered online and available to young people with care experience anywhere in Victoria.

We match young people with an out-of-home care experience aged 15 and over with a mentor who also has a care experience to support their education. This can include support to engage with studies at any level, setting goals for the future, and transitioning to TAFE or uni.

How does Raising Expectations peer mentoring work?

Peer mentors are not workers. They use their personal experience to support, guide and encourage

Peer mentoring is an evidence informed way to support people through periods of transition or times when they might be looking for guidance or connection. Peer mentoring matches people who have had similar experiences or come from similar backgrounds. A peer mentor provides advice, information, or just a friendly face
